The collections

Framed print, in a room
See it on your wall

Every print previews in your own room before you buy.

Open any work on a phone and point the camera at the wall — the print appears at true scale, in your light, in the frame you picked. Or send me the room and I'll come back with two or three that fit, no charge.

Pay it Forward · ten percent

The wild paid for the studio. Some of this goes back.

Ten percent of profit from every print, session, and workshop goes to ten named organisations across oceans, animals, land, mental health, and human health. Buyers can name theirs at checkout.

About the photographer

Jarod M. Berg

Archived prints from 8+ years of traveling, observing, and documenting the breathtaking, limitless, and captivating nuances of natural law and order. The time has come to share, collectively appreciate, support artistry, and do our parts to protect our valuable and cherished Mother Earth. Each print is signed, with 10% of every sale going toward conservation, mental health, and progress.

I am a photographer based in San Luis Obispo, on the California central coast, working across wildlife, landscape, night sky, and the people who live close to all three. Most of my fieldwork happens between Big Sur and the Carrizo Plain — but I travel wherever the work needs me, and always have. Most of what I make begins with waiting — a week on a river bend in Katmai, four nights under a moonless sky in the Alabama Hills, an hour in a kitchen while a family forgets I am there.

The work is organised as an archive rather than a portfolio. Every frame is catalogued with its subject, place, and exposure, because the note is part of the picture. That discipline came from a natural-history habit and it has made me a better commercial photographer — clients get frames that are documented, licensable, and printable at scale.

Alongside commissions I teach small workshops, review portfolios, and print for other photographers. Ten percent of profit goes to ten organisations working on oceans, animals, land, mental health, and human health — the wild paid for this studio, and the rest of us need looking after too.

Being compiled

Features, assignments, awards, and exhibitions are being pulled together and will be listed here with dates and links. Nothing goes on this page that cannot be verified.

Editors and picture desks: the archive is licensable now regardless — ask and you will have files the same week.

Pay it Forward

Ten percent, named and itemised.

Ten percent of profit from every print, session, workshop, and licence goes to ten named organisations working across oceans, animals, land, mental health, and human health. There is no fixed percentage split — where the money goes depends on the moment and the need, and that call is mine. What is fixed is the ten percent, the list, and the reporting.

Where it goes

How it's calculated

Ten percent of net profit, not revenue — after printing, shipping, and payment fees, before I pay myself. Calculated per order, pooled quarterly, and paid in January and July.

What gets reported

Total given, the actual amount to each organisation that period, and receipts. Published here and sent to anyone who bought a print that period — so a discretionary split still gets shown in full.

Choose where yours goes

Buying something? Name one of the ten at checkout and your share goes there. Say nothing and I allocate it where the need is greatest that quarter. The list itself is reviewed each January and I take suggestions seriously.
